Classic Yacht Association
The Classic Yacht Association is an organization of collectors, restorers and skippers of classic power yachts and boats (1942 and earlier). The Classic Yacht Association has become a major influence in growing awareness and appreciation of the classic motor yacht. Originally centered around a few old boats moored in Alamitos Bay in Long Beach, California, the Association began in 1970, when a small group of wooden powerboat owners decided to form an association to perpetuate their interests. Thus, the Classic Yacht Association was formed with a dedication to promote and encourage the preservation, restoration and maintenance of fine old power-driven pleasure craft.

At the present time the Classic Yacht Association (CYA) is a non-profit West Coast based association with four fleets, Southern California, Northern California, Pacific Northwest and Alaska. One of the purposes of this WEB page is to exchange information, solicit new members and expand membership to encompass the entire United States.
